The Winter Fuel Payment is an annual payment to help older people with their heating bills.

To make backdated claims for Winter Fuel Payments for the years 1997-1998 to 1999-2000 use the 'Claim forms for past Winter Fuel Payments' link from the Pensions Service website below. You can download a PDF form and will be told where to post it.
From 2000-2001 deadlines for claims were introduced and it is unlikely you will be able to claim for the years 2000/01 -2007/08. For more information, call the Winter Fuel Payment helpline.
