Who can use the calculator

The results from the Student Loan and grant calculator will apply to you if you:

  • are starting a new university or higher education course in 2008/2009
  • are studying full time
  • are from England
  • qualify for student finance under the funding rules introduced in September 2006

What the calculator will tell you

The Student Loan and grant calculator will estimate how much money you could get through the following types of help:

  • Student Loan for Tuition Fees
  • Student Loan for Maintenance
  • Maintenance Grant or Special Support Grant

The figures are based on the information you give, so be as accurate as you can.
