Cleddau Bridge (A477 Pembroke Dock)

Register in person at the administration office at the bridge to get a booklet of tickets for free crossings. Remember to bring proof of your entitlement.

Clifton Suspension Bridge (B3129 Bristol)

A concessionary rate of £10 with unlimited crossings for a 12-month period is available to people who get the higher rate of the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance or are exempt from paying vehicle tax.

Dartford - Thurrock River Crossing (River Thames)

People who are exempt from paying vehicle tax can cross for free. Register your vehicle in the Exempt Vehicle Registration Scheme to take advantage of Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology. It is not mandatory to register in order to cross for free, but it will make the crossing quicker.

Humber Bridge (near Hull)

Exemption vouchers are available to people who get the higher rate of the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance and are exempt from paying vehicle tax. The vouchers are valid for use when crossing the bridge in the tax-exempt vehicle only.

Itchen Bridge (A3025 Woolston-Southampton)

A toll exemption is available to people who get the higher rate of the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance. The scheme provides the disabled person with an identity card and tokens for free crossing in any vehicle except HGV vehicles.

M6 Motorway (Birmingham Toll)

An M6 Toll Mobility Exemption Pass is available to people who get the higher rate of the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance or are exempt from paying vehicle tax. The Mobility Exemption Pass and allows free passage for the nominated vehicle only, when the eligible person is present.

Organisations which operate a vehicle used for the carriage of disabled people and are recognised by the Secretary of State for Transport can also get a Mobility Exemption Pass.

There is an administration charge of £15 for issuing a pass, change of vehicle details and pass renewals. The pass is valid for three years.

Mersey Tunnel (Liverpool-Wirral)

People who get the higher rate of the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance, the highest rate of Attendance Allowance or the mobility supplement of a war pension can use the tunnel free of charge.

Severn Bridge and Second Severn Crossing (M4 England-Wales)

Blue Badge holders are exempt from toll charges.

When you arrive at a staffed toll booth, hand your Blue Badge to the toll collector. The toll collector will check the validity of the badge and that the badge holder is in the vehicle. They will also record the badge details. The badge holder will then be asked to sign a form. If they are unable to sign, the driver can sign on their behalf. The badge will be returned and the barrier raised.

Tamar Bridge (A38 Plymouth-Liskeard) and Torpoint Ferry (A374 Plymouth-Torpoint)

Mobility Pass Smartcards are available to people who get the higher rate of the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance or the highest rate of Attendance Allowance, are registered blind, or are exempt from paying vehicle tax. The pass entitles the holder to use the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry free of charge. There is an administration charge of £2 for issuing a mobility pass.

Tyne Tunnel (near Newcastle)

Exemptions are available to people who get the higher or middle rate of the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance and are exempt from paying vehicle tax.

If you use the tunnel regularly, you can apply for an exempt pass. Otherwise use the staffed lane so that staff can check your tax disk.

Whitchurch Bridge (B471 Pangbourne-Whitchurch)

Concessions are available to people who are exempt from paying vehicle tax. A 'free crossings' Bridge Card entitles the holder to free crossings in the nominated vehicle only. There is a returnable £5 deposit for the card.
