Health and Safety Executive (HSE)

The Health and Safety Executive is a governent executive agency. Its job is to protect people against risks to health or safety arising out of work activities.

Infoline is the Health and Safety Executive's public enquiry contact centre. The helpline provides access to workplace health and safety information, guidance and expert advice.

The Health and Safety Executive receive specialist advice from a range of advisory committees, boards and councils. The Health and Safety Commission (HSC) and Health and Safety Executive merged on 1 April 2008.
