The Independent Case Examiner

The Independent Case Examiner provides a free resolution service to people wishing to complain about Department for Work and Pensions' agencies and businesses, including the Child Support Agency, Debt Management, Disability and Carers Service, the Financial Assistance Scheme, Jobcentre Plus, the Pension Service and the Rent Service.

Complainants can approach the Independent Case Examiner's office if they are still unhappy after receiving a response from the Chief Executive of the relevant government agency or business. The ICE can consider complaints about the service provided but cannot consider matters of law or government policy.
