As well as applying online, you can apply for student finance for the 2008/2009 academic year by completing a form on paper. Download the relevant form and guidance notes below.

Confirming your identity

It’s recommended that new students applying for support in 2008/2009 submit their passport as proof of identity. If you’re not a passport holder you can submit your Birth or Adoption Certificate, but you must also complete and return the ‘birth/adoption certificate declaration form’.

This form contains two separate declarations. The ‘Applicant's Declaration of Identity’ must be signed by you (the student). The ‘Identity Confirmation Form’ is used to verify your identity, and must be completed by a person of good standing in the community who has known you for at least two years.

Forms PFF1 and PFF2 are used for providing financial information in support of an application - where it hasn’t already been provided on the main application form.

Managing your Student Loan

There are particular forms to complete if you’ve already applied for support and wish to change the amount you requested through either the Student Loan for Maintenance or the Student Loan for Tuition Fees.
