List of government consultation websites

Take part in a wide range of consultations and have your say on the policy making process.

Finding a public consultation

You can find out what the government is consulting on by visiting the website of each government department. Or you can find government consultations using the public consultation search tool (see the link below).

Using the public consultation search tool

You can search by keyword, or a mixture of both keyword and organisation. For example you could search for consultations about 'legal aid' run by all organisations. You'll get a list of all consultations that are about legal aid.

You can click on the title of the consultation and you'll be taken to the website where the consultation is published.

For now you can search consultations run by the Ministry of Justice and the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem). Over the next few months you'll be able to find more public consultations as more government departments become searchable.
