The NHS Helpline is here to help you if you want information on the Scottish health services and health matters, or if you want information on social care services in your area.

The NHS Helpline is a freephone service. It gives you information on a wide range of services including:

  • the NHS and its services
  • particular illnesses and health conditions
  • keeping warm and healthy during winter
  • support and advice for the unpaid carer
  • patients' rights
  • local and national support and self-help groups
