Driving test vehicle recall: Mazda 121 - 1998

This vehicle can’t be used for your practical driving test as it is subject to a recall notice that has been issued by the vehicle manufacturer for safety reasons. Find out if your vehicle is affected and what action you need to take.

Vehicles affected

Models with the following build codes: SP, TB, TR, TA, TG, TC, TK or TD.

Recall issue date

13 February 1998.

Problem

Faulty brake hoses.

Action

You must provide documentary evidence from a vehicle dealer that:

  • the recall work has been carried out
  • the vehicle has been checked and no work is necessary
  • the vehicle is exempt from the recall work

One of the documentary evidence can be:

  • the actual recall letter or safety notice that has been stamped by the dealer
  • written documentary evidence from the dealer

If you take an affected vehicle to your test and don’t provide any documentary evidence your test will be cancelled.

No compensation will be paid.
