The Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion is searching for nominations for individuals who have played an outstanding and significant role in promoting enterprise skills and attitudes in others in the UK.
If you know of someone who promotes business enterprise skills and attitudes in the UK by encouraging, training or mentoring others, they want to hear from you.
The Queen's Award for Enterprise Promotion rewards people who have played an outstanding and significant role in promoting the growth of business enterprise and/or entrepreneurial skills and attitudes in others - for example amongst young people or those in disadvantaged groups. Anyone who has encouraged individuals to develop entrepreneurial approaches and achievements with a view to starting or building a business can be nominated.
These promotional activities could be at a national or local level. Nominees could be working in business, education, training or youth work. Anyone can put forward nominees for the Award but you cannot nominate yourself. Nomination forms can be completed and submitted electronically.
Nominations must be made before midnight on 31 October. The 2009 Awards will be announced on 21 April 2009. Recipients will receive an engraved crystal commemorative item and a Grant of Appointment and will be invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace in July.
Nomination forms and further information are available on the Queen's Awards website.
