  • Published: Wednesday, 2 September 2009

  • Bratislava
  • Kosice
  • Poprad-Tatry
  • Prague
  • Vienna
  • several routes across mainland Europe

Travel advice

The Civil Aviation Authority has advised customers who were due to fly back to the UK with SkyEurope to make alternative arrangements with other airlines.

Ryanair and easyjet are offering SkyEurope passengers rescue flights.

People who bought air holiday packages that included SkyEurope flights from a tour operator should contact their tour operator or travel agent about alternative travel arrangements.

Getting your money back

Customers with forward bookings who booked using a credit card should contact their credit card company about refunds.

If you paid by other means, such as cash or debit card, you may not be able to get your money back. If you did pay by debit or charge card, contact your card company for advice about a full or a partial refund where only part of the journey has been completed.

Customers with travel insurance should check their policy to see whether any airline insolvency cover was provided.
