History brought to life by National Archive online resources
Help your child to learn. Directgov has hints and tips to help develop your child's literacy and maths skills and coursework in general. Also there are suggestions for getting involved and supporting your child's education.
The National Archives Education Service brings UK history to the internet, from medieval times to the post-war years. There are resources for Key Stages 1 to 5.
Internet safety
Think U Know has the latest information on websites, mobiles and new technology. If you look after young people there are resources you can use in the classroom or at home or just to get with it. There’s also a place which anyone can use to report if they feel uncomfortable or worried about someone they are chatting to online.
Click Clever, Click Safe provides internet safety advice for young people and parents. It’s designed to act as an everyday reminder of simple good behaviours, to help you and your children avoid common risks online. Zip it, block it, flag it.
Foodbusters is a food safety game for children from age five onwards.
Tax Matters is HMRC's introduction to tax and National Insurance, explaining why you get a National Insurance number just before your 16th birthday, and the basics of income tax. From age 11.
Democracy and citizenship
The UK Parliament website provides games, articles and resources for children from age 5 to 18.
