New pension and benefit rates for 2012–2013

Details of the pensions and benefits rates for 2012–2013 were announced in December 2011. The new rates will be paid from April 2012.

State Pension

The basic State Pension will rise in April by £5.30 from £102.15 to £107.45.

The non-contributory pension and pensions based on a spouse or civil partner's insurance will rise to £64.40.

Child Benefit

 From 6 April 2011, the Child Benefit rates will stay the same for three years.
