The government has published an intelligence report into the 7 July bombings in London, and its response to the report.

The committee of MPs that make up the Intelligence and Security Committee (ISC) is reporting on the bombings in London on 7 July 2006 which killed 52 people and injured several hundred others.

At the same time the government has responsed to the conclusions and recommendations of this report.

7 July Assistance website and support line

The 7 July Assistance website has been set up offering information, advice and counselling for those affected in the terror incidents of July. Follow the link at the bottom of this section to visit the website.

The support line is open from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm Monday to Friday, and 10.00 am to 5.00 pm at the weekend. The line is for people who were caught up in Thursday's bombing is offering confidential emotional and practical support to people directly affected by the bombing, and also to bereaved families in the UK.

Staff and volunteers from the British Red Cross, Victim Support, Cruse Bereavement Care, Salvation Army and The Samaritans are running the support line from the British Red Cross head office in London.

They will assess callers' needs, offer on-the-spot emotional support, and listen to their concerns. Staff and volunteers will also offer advice and practical support by signposting callers to other organisations that can provide more in-depth assistance.

Each operator will be able to offer advice on a range of subjects including the role of Family Liaison Officers, the role of the support agencies, the Family Assistance Centre, mortuary procedures, as well as offering contact details for financial and legal advice.
