Check your theory test

To view the status of your test booking, including when and where the test is booked, and whether the booking is confirmed, you will need to enter:

• your valid Great Britain or Northern Ireland provisional driving licence number
• your surname
• your date of birth

Change your theory test

You can move your booking to an earlier or later date, if a slot is available. You'll be able to search for a new test date or change the test centre where you are taking your test. You can only change bookings that are confirmed.

To change your theory test appointment, you will need:

• your valid Great Britain or Northern Ireland provisional driving licence number
• to give at least three clear working days' notice before your test date to avoid losing your test fee

Cancel your theory test

You can cancel a booking, and get a refund of the test fee, if appropriate. You can only cancel bookings that are confirmed.

To cancel your theory test appointment, you will need:

• your valid Great Britain or Northern Ireland provisional driving licence number
• to give at least three clear working days  notice before your test date to avoid losing your test fee
